Facilities

We boast four camping areas which can accommodate any function or group size. On a totally level site, pitching your tent, caravan or motor home couldn’t be easier.

Island Field

Island Field is on the left hand side of the estate drive.

Island Field is a camping and caravan certificated site 187/040 and has 3 hard standing pitches for Caravans and motor homes.

The ducks on the pond adjacent to the camp site like to be fed. Please be quiet and gentle with them and remember that the pond is their home so it is not recommended to be used as a swimming pool.

Through the kissing gate to Glad’s Wood there is a memorial bench overlooking a small shallow pond , where there are often lots of pond bugs and it is safe to try pond dipping to identify the small creatures. Occasionally in the summer the pond dries up but it’s still a lovely spot to sit and watch the abundance of nature around.

It is equipped with;

  • Mains drinking water
  • Hot shower
  • Outside washing up facilities
  • Toilets
  • Dry waste disposal
  • Chemical waste disposal
  • 3 Hard standing pitches for caravans and motor homes
  • Green field pitches for tents

Spooky’s Wood

Spooky’s Wood was named after a cat who was buried in the new woodland.

The entrance to the wild wood camping area and children’s play area, is through the pedestrian gate just opposite the gate entrance to island field.

Take the left hand fork in the path, it will lead you to a children’s activity area including a mud kitchen amongst other activities.

Take the right hand fork walking along the wiggly, wooded path, down the steps and through the other side of the hedge and here you will find four private wild wood pitches they each have brick surround fire pits with sufficient room to pitch a tent.

The toilet, washing up and shower facilities are shared with Island Field being so closely located.

NO dogs are allowed in Spooky’s Wood.

Childrens Imagination Play Trail

Found in Spookys Wood, the children’s imagination play trail allows kids to explore and pretend all in the shade of the tress. Enter the woodland through the gate almost opposite Island Field (where the toilet and shower block are located) Take the left hand fork in the path, and follow the windy path and it will lead you to a children’s activity area. Find the mud kitchen and let the children cook up a ‘delight’ for you to sample, a wobbly bridge – can they get across without stumbling? A fairy ring, can they make a wish in the centre? A totem pole clearing, how high can they reach.

There is a seat inside the play trail where you can sit and rest while the children play close by.
